Pescina at the heart of Abruzzo is the greenest area in Europe, yet very original and off the beaten tracks. Some buildings and villages are older than Rome which is only 1,5 hours from Pescina. The small city lies at 800m above sea level and is sorrounded by a beutiful mountain range. Safran and truffel are only two of the many culinary specialities of the area.
